Chef Ned Bell Inducted into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame as a Local Champion at Vancouver’s Italian Cultural Centre.
On Monday, October 19, the BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) welcomed 24 new members into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame, and Ned was one of them. He was inducted in the Local Champion category for his years of advocacy for responsible sourcing, food security and the future of sustainable dining.
Established in 2004, the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame is the only restaurant hall of fame in Canada. Inductees are voted in by past honourees, which makes this a nod from the industry itself.
“Incredibly honoured to be recognized this year, and alongside 150 of our hospitality peers over the past 21 years,” says Ned.
Ned shared the Local Champion category with chef and restaurateur Lucais Syme of Autostrada Hospitality and the Legends Haul team of Craig Sheridan, Jill Sheridan, Jonathan Burke and Alex Ploughman. Congratulations to every 2026 inductee, including fellow Okanagan honouree Christina Ferreira of Impact Events, inducted as a Friend of the Industry. Thank you to Ian Tostenson and the BCRFA for a wonderful night.
