How We Work
Hatch is intentionally small. Some projects are led by Kate, some by Ned and some need both of us. When additional expertise is required, we bring in trusted people from our network.
There are no layers and no handoff. When you hire Hatch, you work directly with us, from the first conversation through to the work itself.
We start by understanding what you are trying to achieve and what may be getting in the way. That often means looking beyond the original brief, spending time inside the business and speaking with the people responsible for ownership, operations and the guest experience. Then we shape the work around what will actually make a difference.
We each take on two to five projects a year. Good work takes attention, and attention takes time. We would rather stay closely involved in a small number of projects than spread ourselves thinly across many.
Our work also builds on itself. Experience from one part of hospitality, tourism or food often creates a useful connection in another. Between us, we bring decades of relationships, practical knowledge and a perspective that crosses industries without losing sight of how the work needs to function on the ground.
We do our best work with people who value honest advice, direct involvement and thoughtful execution.
