Buy BC - Chef Ambassador

A three-year government contract with the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food to champion locally sourced BC food products through events, media, farm visits, and recipe development — coast to coast across British Columbia.

The Work

Ned was contracted by the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food to serve as Buy BC Chef Champion and Ambassador — creating awareness and driving sales for locally sourced BC food through public events, consumer appearances, media activations, keynote panels, speaking engagements, farm visits, recipe development, and social media campaigns. He personally visited dozens of farms, breweries, and processing plants across the province.

Government Accountability

This wasn’t a celebrity endorsement. It was an operational engagement requiring measurable deliverables, public accountability, and the ability to translate culinary expertise into accessible public education. Ned established a direct working relationship with the Minister of Agriculture and Food — a strategic asset that opens doors to provincial partnerships and funding.
